Yet, too often, the world sees a single story. We are grouped into one. Our rich, diverse identities are blurred into a single word: "African."

Brush Africa was born to change that narrative.

We are a movement dedicated to celebrating the beautiful, complex, and powerful diversity of the African continent. Our name comes from the idea of "brushing away" the stereotypes and painting a new, more accurate picture for the world to see.
